Herdade do Peso is a landmark property in Vidigueira, Alentejo, developed over three decades by the Guedes family and Sogrape, accumulating know-how since the 90s. Today, Herdade do Peso is one of Sogrape's flagship brands, with the ambition of revealing the best of the Alentejo to the world. With its 160 hectares of vineyards, Herdade do Peso represents 10% of the total area owned by Sogrape in Portugal, Spain, Chile, Argentina and New Zealand.

Luís Cabral Almeida
For Luís Cabral de Almeida, wine has always been more than just a simple pleasure. Originating from a family involved in this occupation, he travelled through France and Australia during his academic training, starting his career in the Douro region. The Dão region was another one of his stops, as well as his debut at Sogrape, together with Argentina, where he has 10 years of experience heading up Finca Flichman. Since 2012, Luís’ destiny has been the Alentejo, a region which always fascinated him for its notion of horizon where, more than anywhere else, he believes that the winemaker’s role is to interpret nature.
