Chile

Chile

One of the southern hemisphere’s oldest leading producers, Chile has geographic and historical particularities which give a unique character and identity to its wines, which are becoming increasingly more popular internationally.

Creating great stories

Sogrape's arrival in Chile in 2008 strengthened its presence in the region, bearing out its desire to expand its own relevant origins of New World wines, which began two decades before in Argentina, on the other side of the Andes Mountains.

Get to know our regions

Chile has an unparalleled setting. Long and narrow, its diversity comes from the proximity between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes, with several different regions. From east to west, three major zones – Coast, Intermountain and Andes – encompass countless valleys with varying soils and climates, influenced by maritime coolness and ocean humidity, together with the solar intensity and temperature span of the mountains. French inspiration brought red and white grape varieties which adapted quite well, particularly Carmenére, Chile’s most emblematic.
