8000 from Marqués de Burgos, a high altitude wine

Viticulture looks to high altitude vineyards as a response to climate change. Those vineyards that already have long-acclimatized grape varieties are from which El Viajero has selected 10 wines that we must take into account. Among them is 8000 from Marqués de Burgos, the limited edition of the selection of 8000 strains located in four small plots with very low yields: Santa Centola, Carracabañes, Santa Ana and Carraroa, located on south-facing slopes and not very fertile and stony soils.

LAN's adventure in Ribera del Duero began in 2009 when we timidly began to delve into the vineyard in search of the balance of fruit and wood. 8000 de Marqués de Burgos is a unique wine, of great elegance and maturity, a true reflection of this land and the constant selection of old vineyards.

You can read the entry in El Viajero de El País.
