DEDICADO LIMITED EDITION
Dedicado Limited Edition is a new high-end wine proposal by Finca Flichman, which we have created in search of quality excellence. Added to the innovative spirit from the winery, we combined technology and artisan dedication in order to make this dream come true, preserving the grapes identity and the essence of the place. This challenging project was lead by our enology team, who studied our Finca Don Fernando’s soils in Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza, for 10 years. The team also benefited from the collaboration of prestigious international consultants, as the Italian enologist Alberto Antonini and the soils expert Pedro Parra. We were finally able to make it true, and today we are proud to announce it and share it with you.
Microterroir is the way in which we understand the origin of our grapes. In our Malbec vineyard in Tupungato, Uco Valley at 3,610 ft. above sea level, we defined 6 half acre micro-plots characterized by their individual soil profiles. After mapping, analyzing and geo-fencing more than 30 test areas to produce wines over 5 years, the two best were selected. Coincidentally, these two wines were from adjacent plots in the same row. We proudly named these wines “Dedicado Gravel & Stone” and “Dedicado Sand & Silt”.
Research:
- Study of soils and map realization, for that we made a "treasure map", using electromagnetic probes, computer tools and pits that allow us to see geologically, which we can’t see at first look
- Define terroir micro plots, which are sections of the vineyard with the same type of soil, and with potential for high quality wines, guided by the experience of Pedro Parra.
- Make the wines of each micro plot separately, with minimal intervention, evaluate them and determine the identity and style of each one.
Dedicado Gravel & Stone: Sandy loam soils with alluvial deposits and a layer of gravel and larger rocks. Deep ruby red in the glass, this wine has a very intense and aromatic nose. On the palate it is structured and complex, thanks to the soil composition. It has 15 months in French barrels and the result is an elegant and medium-bodied wine, it showcases ripe black fruit flavors, sweet spice and vibrant acidity. The finish is long and fruity.

Dedicado Sand & Silt: Soils are deep with a high content of calcium carbonate and sand, blown into the area by the wind. Fertile soil, providing the plant with ample nutrients, adds mineralogy to the wine.
Deep ruby red in the glass, this wine is characterized by fruity and floral notes. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing. Extended ageing (15 months in French barrels) has allowed the oak influence to become perfectly integrated and has softened the tannins. The wine is rounded and well-balance, with modern profile.
