Trinca Bolotas Branco. The new endeavour of Herdade do Peso.

Trinca Bolotas Branco. The new endeavour of Herdade do Peso.

Just in time for summer, the brand new Trinca Bolotas Branco 2018, the latest member of Herdade do Peso in Vidigueira, Alentejo, has just hit the domestic market. The story of Trinca Bolotas is now told in red and white, a natural step after the brand's great success among consumers.

“Expanding the Trinca Bolotas range was always on our horizon. Since the brand has been so well embraced since its release in 2014, it was time to launch a white wine to address the demand for a versatile, fresh and unconfined wine,” explains Luís Cabral de Almeida, winemaker at Herdade do Peso. “For this Trinca Bolotas Branco, we created a batch of Antão Vaz (60%) and Arinto (40%) since, if ideal marriages do exist, this is certainly one of them. The Antão Vaz grape variety gives it its floral, citric and fruity side. The Arinto grape variety then gives it its structure, acidity and fresh, persistent finish.”

The new Trinca Bolotas Branco will surely delight enthusiasts with its highly compelling freshness and elegance, in a wine which aims to be an excellent and versatile companion at the table, in the true Alentejo style.

Created in tribute to the Alentejo, which is why it bears the name of the traditional Alentejo pig – a native Portuguese species and the sole survivor of free-range swine in Europe – Trinca Bolotas has grown, and now positions itself as an urban brand, while still committed to its origin in an absolutely charismatic way.
