Founding member of the National Forum on Alcohol and Health
Since 2010, Sogrape has been a founding member of the National Forum on Alcohol and Health, having signed a membership commitment letter to this venue sponsored by the General Directorate for Intervention on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies (SICAD) to create a national platform for all stakeholders from civil society committed to minimising damages caused by alcohol abuse.
The company’s participation is part of its sustainability policy, insofar as it puts Sogrape at the forefront among consumers as a responsible organisation, and contributes directly towards effective policies to reduce problems associated with the abuse of alcoholic beverages, namely in the areas referred to in the National Plan for Reducing Alcohol-related Problems.
The results of work done while participating in this forum have provided an ongoing understanding of the initiatives and activities being done in Portugal, which are discussed by all members and participants, thereby disseminating best practices in accordance with the World Health Organisation's European Strategy and Global Strategy.
