Bucelas

Bucelas

One of Portugal’s smallest regions, Bucelas is only 20 kilometres away from Lisbon, encased between high hills and narrow valleys. Its moderate climate, with cold winters and summers full of sun and fresh breezes, combines with limestone soils ideal for making white wines.

Acquired by Sogrape in 2019, the 300-year-old Quinta da Romeira is emblematic in Bucelas. Vineyards cover around half of the entire region, which is planted with Arinto, the main grape variety of this exclusive white wine designation of origin. The farm’s various plots, altitudes, hillsides, soils and exposures, coupled with meticulous winemaking work, create a wide range of intense, delicious wines whose expression is enhanced with age.

Our brands and wines

Offering high-quality wines and great brands is an age-old belief at Sogrape. It has always been this way. For us, each bottle symbolises a new story, a new way of expression, and an invitation to explore nature and its aromas. It is during this new journey towards new destinations where unparalleled moments and experiences can be found.

Our grape varieties

The grape varieties we grow are a legacy and testimonial to the diversity and potential of each country and region. A reflection of exceptional terroirs, their unique richness and character give rise to wines full of personality with their own identity.
