“Abre o verão” is Sogrape’s campaign for the upcoming season

“Abre o Verão… aos prémios” (Summer is open... to prizes) is the campaign being launched by Sogrape Distribuição to liven up the summer days of the Portuguese and reward the best buyers. When buying Sogrape wines, consumers will be eligible for incredible prizes, while supporting the Gil Foundation and APELA Association at the same time.

The Portuguese are in need of a wave of optimism and positive disposition... and this campaign comes just at the right time. The longest days of the year are now here, inspiring moments of relaxation outdoors, even if it’s at the window chatting with a neighbour, or in a lounge chair on the porch listening to your favourite music. From 1 June to 31 August, every time you purchase Sogrape wines such as Mateus Rosé, Gazela, Planalto, Trinca Bolotas or Grão Vasco, you can participate in the “Abre o Verão… aos prémios” campaign at www.abreoverao.pt, which will give away more than 1,300 prizes. The Gil Foundation and the Portuguese Lou Gehrig's Disease Association (APELA) were the institutions chosen to receive a donation from this campaign in the amount of €750 each.

With proof of purchase, consumers can register purchases at the campaign’s website and validate their participation. The amount of purchases is converted into points and exchanged for prizes. In addition to the grand prize of €3,500 awarded in three instalments of €2,000, €1,000 and €500 to the top three in the campaign’s cumulative ranking, consumers will also qualify for weekly prizes of up to €100 (in Unibanco Alegria cards), online bookstore vouchers (€10 each) and fuel coupons (€5 each).

Sogrape Distribuição has thus turned a classic summertime promotion into an extensive campaign at various levels. “We are all more confident in having a summer closer to those who we like to be with and remember. For this reason, we want to create a sense of optimism from three standpoints: for our retail partners, for consumers (since we know they appreciate a campaign with appealing prizes) and, finally, for two institutions which recently received symbolic support for their praiseworthy pursuits”, says Júlio Martins, General Manager of Sogrape Distribuição.
