Each year, in the old vines of Quinta do Caêdo, in Ervedosa do Douro, a new harvest of Legado is born from the work and inspiration of Fernando Guedes. A wine not wanting to be perfect, but symbolic, the utmost expression of terroir in a tribute to time and the passing of a torch.

Conceived by Fernando Guedes, who from an early age was fascinated by the unparalleled spectacle of pre-phylloxera terraces at Quinta do Caêdo, Legado has always stood out as a different wine. In a tribute to the very best of the Douro, each year, Sogrape's winemaking team in the Douro seeks the utmost expression from these 8 hectares of old vines, where the harvest extending over three phases is naturally done by hand, and the sound of a tractor seems to be a figment of the imagination.

Legado 2014, the new vintage now released, continues the dream of perpetuating a simple tribute to Sogrape's roots.
