Quinta dos Carvalhais ÚNICO 2017 is an exceptional red wine of outstanding quality, a perfect example of the elegance and richness of the Dão region, created by Beatriz Cabral de Almeida.

2017 is the year of Quinta de Carvalhais ÚNICO. This wine is only produced in years of outstanding quality when everything aligns. This will be the fourth edition of Quinta dos Carvalhais'top-of-the-range wine, following the 2005, 2009 and 2015 vintages.

As its name suggests, Quinta dos Carvalhais ÚNICO 2017 is a unique red wine created for moments that deserve unrepeatable and perfect wines. The majesty of Serra da Estrela, the immensity of the forests, and the coldness and hardness of the granite make this wine reveal its soul as the perfect example of the elegance and richness of the Dão region.

According to winemaker Beatriz Cabral de Almeida, responsible for Quinta dos Carvalhais wines, this new Único "reflects the winemaking and winegrowing teams’ decades of dedication and know-how of this region. This red is faithful to the personality of the Dão region, which perfectly expresses the terroir of Quinta dos Carvalhais in colour and aromas."

Marked by balsamic notes - of sous-bois, menthol, lavender and pine forest, due to the strong influence of the landscape surrounding the Carvalhais vineyards, ÚNICO 2017 is a red that invites us to enjoy it with an elegance and freshness that gives it versatility.
