Casa Ferreirinha Introduces New Papa Figos Rosé Vintage

Following the success achieved last year with the launch of the first Papa Figos Rosé, Casa Ferreirinha now rolls out the second vintage of this wine with a fresh and elegant profile.

Papa Figos Rosé 2022 hits the market well in time to be enjoyed in the warmer weather, with all its freshness and refinement. The new vintage reveals itself a true sensory treasure, embodying the rarity and beauty of the migratory bird from which it borrows its name.

With an extremely attractive pale salmon colour, combining the structure of the male (red) and the lightness of the female (white), the new Papa Figos Rosé results from a precise winemaking process combining innovation and tradition, while celebrating the nature and biodiversity of the Douro Region through the typical Papa Figos couple featured on the label.

Luís Sottomayor, the head winemaker, states: "With the typical delicacy and freshness of rosé wines, this new vintage of Papa Figos Rosé reflects the quality of the red grapes from the Douro Superior. It is a fresh, elegant and very balanced wine."

With an intense and slightly floral bouquet, with hints of white fruits and fresh red fruits, the richness of flavours of Papa Figos Rosé is smooth and harmonious. With a refreshing acidity and a very elegant finish, this is an ideal wine to serve as an aperitif or to accompany light dishes, such as cold salads, as well as grilled fish, sushi, or a vegetable quiche.
