When Night Falls Over The Cellars, Sandeman Invites You To a Spooky Halloween Toast
Some places take on a new life after dark. This Halloween, Sandeman invites visitors to discover the more mysterious side of the Port Wine universe through the After Dark Visit, an experience that combines history, mystery and flavours in a unique setting: the historic Sandeman Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
Participants are invited to explore the cellars and uncover the secrets hidden among century-old casks and vats, on a journey through the history and heritage of Sandeman. As night falls, the atmosphere becomes even more intriguing, guided by hosts dressed in the iconic black cape and wide-brimmed hat of “The Don”, the unmistakable symbol of the brand.
The experience concludes in the tasting room with a guided tasting of three Port Wines – the new Sandeman Aged White 10 Years Old, Sandeman Tawny 10 Years Old and Sandeman LBV 2020 – paired with a specially created food accompaniment inspired by the colours and imagery of Halloween. It is an experience that invites guests to celebrate the occasion in an unexpected way, bringing together the tradition of Port Wine and the mystery that has surrounded the world of Sandeman for more than a century.
Starting at 7:00 pm on 31 October, the After Dark Visit is priced at €32 per person. Places are limited and availability and reservations can be checked on the official Sandeman website or through Sogrape’s wine tourism portal.
