Sogrape Recognized At The Drinks Business Green Awards 2024
Sogrape, a leading family-owned wine company in Portugal with a strong international presence, was awarded in the Water Management category at the 15th edition of The Drinks Business Green Awards. This award recognizes the company's commitment to innovative water management practices, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The 15th edition of The Drinks Business Green Awards ceremony took place in London this Tuesday and once again celebrated companies in the beverage sector that lead innovative and conscious environmental practices. Committed to building a more inclusive and qualified future, Sogrape stood out among the winners, being recognized in the Water Management category, which values its efforts in preserving one of the vital natural resources for the sector and in developing more responsible initiatives.
One of the most ambitious projects that supported this recognition was the modernization of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (ETAR) at Quinta do Sairrão, in Douro. This infrastructure was upgraded to manage larger volumes of effluents, especially during the harvest season, integrating pioneering technologies that optimize treatment and significantly reduce environmental impact.
